How we protect your dog's data
You trust us with things that matter: your dog's lab reports, photos, symptoms, and the story of their health. Here's exactly what we collect, how we keep it safe, and who can see it — in plain language.
What we collect
- →Health records you upload — lab reports, vet documents, X-ray and ultrasound images, photos.
- →What you tell us — symptoms, behavior notes, diary entries (voice or text).
- →Account basics — your email and password. Passwords are stored only as cryptographic hashes; we can't see or recover them.
- →Payment facts — that a payment happened and when. Card or wallet details never touch our servers.
How it's stored
Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS) on every connection, and access to our databases is restricted to a minimal set of systems that need it to run the service. Photos and documents are stored separately from your account identity. We keep audit logs of administrative access, and our infrastructure follows least-privilege principles: each component can only reach what it strictly needs.
Who can see it
Your assessments are generated by AI — seven specialized models plus a coordinating one. No veterinarian sits and manually reviews every case. That's deliberate: it's what lets us read a lab report in minutes instead of days, and it's stated honestly so you know exactly how the product works.
A small engineering team can access systems for maintenance and safety, under access controls and logging. We never sell your data. Where we use health data to improve our models, we de-identify it first — names, contact details and anything that points to you personally are stripped before data is used for statistics or research.
Is ChongCheck a medical device?
No — and we want to be precise about that. ChongCheck is an information and analytics service. It helps you and your vet see the whole picture of your dog's health; it does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace an in-person visit to a licensed veterinarian. Our medical disclaimer spells this out, and every assessment you receive says it too.
Payments
We don't handle card numbers ourselves. Payments are processed by specialized payment providers over encrypted connections; we receive a payment confirmation — never your card details. We're careful with our words here: we follow security best practices on our side, but we don't claim certifications we don't hold. If you ever need a refund or want a charge explained, write to us — a human answers.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and your dog's history at any time. Deletion is real: your personal data and health records are removed from active systems, and expire from backups on their regular rotation cycle. Some payment records may be kept where the law requires it.

One thing to know: no online service can promise absolute security. What we can promise is that your dog's data is treated as carefully as we'd want Chong's treated. That sentence isn't marketing — this project exists because of a dog.
